The Metallisation and Interconnection Workshop 2025 will take place in Berlin, the capital of Germany. The city’s excellent infrastructure, international connectivity, and vibrant cultural scene create an inspiring atmosphere for our workshop. With a diverse, open-minded community and a history of scientific breakthroughs, Berlin provides the perfect setting for networking, and knowledge exchange in a stimulating environment.

WORKSHOP LOCATION:

Auditorium of HZB Berlin-Adlershof

Adress: Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, Albert-Einstein-Straße 15, 12489 Berlin-Adlershof, Germany

Research for a climate-neutral energy supply

At the Berlin-Adlershof site, HZB operates laboratories for the development of innovative solar cells, partly in cooperation with the Humboldt University. The focus is on perovskite-based single-junction and multi-junction solar cells, such as those developed in the HySPRINT laboratory in close vicinity to Bessy II (synchrotron), are being developed. Fundamental questions on processes, materials and devices are being investigated, partly also with the advanced analysis possibilities at the synchrotron. The scaling of processes for industrial application up to the PV module and system application is also being investigated at Adlerhof. To this end, the HZB operates the Technology Institute PVcomB.
